About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Cyber Defence & Resilience Support Engineer (CDS/CRS) to support a secure and business-critical Cyber Defence and Cyber Resilience environment. This role is responsible for the end-to-end management, provisioning, support, and maintenance of secure Windows endpoint devices within a dedicated CDS/CRS tenant.

The successful candidate will provide onsite technical support from our Canary Wharf office while ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient operation of Windows devices across multiple UK locations. This is an excellent opportunity for an IT professional with strong Microsoft Intune and endpoint management experience who enjoys working within highly secure and regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities End User Support

  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for Windows 10/11 end-user devices.
  • Deliver onsite support in Canary Wharf and remote support to UK-based users.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve device, application, and policy-related issues.
  • Manage incidents, service requests, and operational changes through ITSM processes.
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate resolver groups when required.

Endpoint Management & Intune Administration

  • Administer and manage devices within a dedicated Microsoft Intune environment.
  • Configure, provision, and maintain endpoint devices throughout their lifecycle.
  • Support and implement Intune policies and secure configurations.
  • Validate device builds, security baselines, and application deployments.
  • Support end-user deployment activities and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Patch & Vulnerability Management

  • Deploy operating system and application patches in accordance with agreed schedules.
  • Monitor patch compliance and remediate deployment failures.
  • Support vulnerability management programmes and security baseline compliance.
  • Maintain endpoint antivirus and endpoint protection standards.

Application Packaging & Deployment

  • Package and deploy applications using Intune and modern endpoint management tools.
  • Create and maintain application deployment packages.
  • Support testing and deployment of packaged applications.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful application onboarding and deployment.

Reporting & Governance

  • Produce monthly operational and service reports.
  • Track ticket resolution, application deployments, remote support activities, and access exceptions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and operational records.
  • Ensure compliance with governance, audit, and security requirements.

Security & Compliance

  • Operate within strict cyber security and compliance frameworks.
  • Adhere to all Security Aspects Letter (SAL) and security policies.
  • Maintain Security Clearance requirements and support audit activities.

Required Skills & Experience Essential Technical Skills

  • Strong experience supporting Windows 10/11 environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune administration and endpoint management.
  • Knowledge of:
    • Endpoint configuration management
    • Patch management
    • Vulnerability management
    • Endpoint security and antivirus solutions

  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms.
  • Application packaging and deployment experience using:
    • MSI packages
    • IntuneWin packages
    • PowerShell scripting

Security Clearance Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must:

  • Hold current Security Clearance (SC) OR
  • Be eligible to obtain SC Clearance (minimum 3 years continuous UK residency required).

Candidates must also be willing to undergo relevant background, financial, and security screening checks.
