Requirements

  • Significant proven success implementing an architected and secure approach to system integration in complex environments
  • In-depth skills with integration middleware and authoritative knowledge of enterprise architecture concepts
  • Understanding of security threats and appropriate controls, with awareness of system development project lifecycles
  • Ability to provide technical leadership, work under pressure, and communicate complex information clearly to all levels
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to absorb complex information and identify key points

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, documentation, and support of integration architecture to enable consistent and timely integration of business processes and data across multiple systems
  • Work with Development Services and Information Security to implement security controls for APIs and integration middleware
  • Review projects with the Enterprise Architect to ensure they conform to enterprise architecture standards
  • Establish patterns, standards, and governance processes for application integration, maintaining accurate records in the architecture repository
  • Evaluate the impact of changes in third-party applications and plan appropriate actions to maintain service availability
  • Provide technical leadership and communicate integration architecture to stakeholders across the organisation and external parties

Our work spans Enterprise Architecture, IS Applications, and Information Services, supporting integrated business processes and consistent data management. This is a full-time, permanent Integration Architect role based in Edinburgh, with hybrid working and one to two days per week in the office. The position offers a salary of £50,253–£61,759 and 35 working hours per week.
