Job description

Are you ready to revolutionise the world with TEKEVER?

At TEKEVER, we lead innovation in Europe as the European leader in unmanned technology, where cutting-edge advancements meet unparalleled innovation.

Digital | Defence | Security | Space

We operate across four strategic areas, combining artificial intelligence, systems engineering, data science, and aerospace technology to tackle global challenges — from protecting people and critical infrastructure to exploring space.

We offer a unique surveillance-as-a-service solution that delivers real-time intelligence, enhancing maritime safety and saving lives. Our products and services support strategic and operational decisions in the most demanding environments — whether at sea, on land, in space, or in cyberspace.

Become part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary, and mission-driven team that is transforming maritime surveillance and redefining global safety standards.

At TEKEVER, our mission is to provide limitless support through mission-oriented game-changers, delivering the right information at the right time to empower critical decision-making.

If you're passionate about technology and eager to shape the future — TEKEVER is the place for you.

About us

TEKEVER is redefining how autonomous systems are designed, built and deployed in Defence and security environments.

Our work brings together software, hardware, integration and operational deployment in a highly regulated environment, where quality, traceability and assurance are critical to mission success.

The role

We are seeking a Project Quality Manager to lead quality assurance and quality management activities across TEKEVER projects and new business opportunities.

You will act as the Quality focal point for the projects, working alongside Project managers, engineering, supply chain and delivery teams to ensure that all deliverables meet contractual, regulatory and customer requirements.

This role sits at the centre of delivery—ensuring that quality is embedded across design, software development, integration and supplier activities.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead the implementation of the Project Quality Management Plan (QMP) and ensure alignment with AQAP, AS9100 and contract requirements
  • Act as the primary interface with the customer for quality and assurance activities
  • Ensure full requirements traceability from contract through design, verification and release (via the compliance matrix)
  • Oversee risk-based quality management, identifying issues early within processes rather than at final inspection
  • Drive configuration management and change control to maintain baseline integrity across hardware, software and documentation
  • Manage supplier quality and assurance, including supplier approval, performance monitoring and corrective actions
  • Ensure objective evidence is generated and retained to demonstrate conformity to contractual and regulatory requirements
  • Lead nonconformance management and CAPA processes, ensuring root cause analysis and effective closure
  • Support design reviews, verification and validation activities, ensuring outputs meet requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Contribute to performance reporting and management reviews, driving continual improvement across the project

What we’re looking for

  • Strong experience in Aerospace, Defence or regulated engineering environments
  • Proven delivery within AS9100 / ISO 9001 QMS environments
  • Experience working with Defence Standards or AQAP standards (2105, 2310 or 2210 desirable)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage quality across the full lifecycle (design, development, integration, test and delivery)
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Configuration management
    • Risk-based quality assurance
    • Supplier quality / external provider controls
  • Experience engaging with customers, regulators or assurance authorities

Nice to have

  • Experience in autonomous systems, UAS or software-intensive platforms
  • Exposure to software assurance and lifecycle control
  • Familiarity with Defence procurement frameworks / MOD contracts

Why join TEKEVER

  • Be part of a high-growth, mission-driven programme
  • Influence quality across hardware, software and system integration
  • Collaborate with teams across engineering, autonomy, operations and supply chain
  • Play a key role in delivering UK sovereign capability

Our approach to quality

At TEKEVER, quality is built into how we work—not inspected at the end.

We apply a process-driven, risk-based approach, ensuring conformity is achieved through disciplined engineering, strong supplier control and robust evidence.

Founded in 2001 by a group of computer scientists and researchers, TEKEVER originated with a vision to harness collective intelligence by interconnecting devices, a concept they termed the 'evernet'. The company's initial focus was on developing intelligent, highly distributed software systems. Recognizing a significant opportunity around 2009, TEKEVER strategically pivoted towards the burgeoning market of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), believing that software and artificial intelligence were the keys to unlocking the true potential of drone technology. This led the company to become a fully vertically integrated entity, controlling every aspect of the value chain from aeronautical design and manufacturing to the development of proprietary software and electronics. Today, TEKEVER is a leading European player in the aerospace, defence, and security markets, providing advanced UAS technology and services on a global scale. TEKEVER's core offering is a comprehensive 'Intelligence-as-a-Service' solution, which delivers actionable, real-time intelligence gathered from its fleet of UAS. The company designs and manufactures a range of drones, including the AR3, AR4, and AR5 models, which are deployed for long-range maritime and land-based surveillance missions. These systems are powered by the ATLAS platform, an AI-centric system that combines Edge AI, satellite communications, and cloud computing to process vast amounts of data and provide critical insights to clients. TEKEVER serves both civilian and military sectors, with notable clients including the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) and the UK's Home Office for maritime surveillance, as well as providing critical support to defence operations. In addition to its UAS division, the company operates TEKEVER Space, which develops next-generation satellite systems and communication technologies, further enhancing its aerial intelligence capabilities.
