Purpose of the Role

Responsible for leading end-to-end logistics execution across the cluster, ensuring seamless movement of finished goods from plants to depots and customers. The role drives operational excellence across shipping, transportation, depot management, inventory deployment, and service delivery while ensuring cost optimization, regulatory compliance, and superior customer service levels.

Key Deliverables

• Logistics Execution Management

  • Lead end-to-end logistics execution across the cluster, ensuring seamless movement of finished goods from plants to depots and customers.

  • Ensure achievement of logistics service levels through timely dispatches and deliveries.

• Shipping Operations Management

  • Lead and govern all Shipping Managers across the cluster and ensure standardization of shipping processes.
  • Drive improvements in dispatch planning, vehicle turnaround time, loading efficiency, and shipment accuracy.

• Transportation Management

  • Manage transportation operations across the cluster to ensure cost-effective and timely product movement.
  • Monitor transporter performance and drive route optimization, freight efficiency, and service level adherence.

• Depot Operations Management

  • Oversee operations across all depots within the cluster and ensure adherence to operational standards.
  • Improve depot productivity, storage utilization, inventory rotation, freshness management, and liquidation efficiency.

• Inventory Deployment & Availability

  • Execute inventory deployment plans in alignment with business requirements and supply plans.
  • Ensure product availability across depots while minimizing ageing inventory and stock imbalances.

• Cost & Productivity Management

  • Drive logistics cost optimization initiatives across transportation, shipping, and depot operations.
  • Monitor logistics costs and deliver productivity improvements in line with business targets.

• Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with all statutory, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements across logistics operations.
  • Drive governance and audit adherence across plants, depots, and transportation operations.

• Seasonal Readiness & Infrastructure Management

  • Ensure logistics infrastructure readiness and resource availability to support seasonal demand peaks.
  • Drive capacity planning and operational preparedness across logistics facilities within the cluster.

Role Requirements

Qualification:

• MBA in Supply Chain Management

Experience:

• 10 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or operations, with a strong background in depot/warehouse management and transportation.
• Proficient in Microsoft tools and software (e.g., Excel, SAP).
