Scrum Master – Revenue Management & Support

Experience : 3 years to 7 years

Location: Gurgaon, India

Work Mode: Work from Office completely

Level: Analyst / Senior Analyst.

1. Role Purpose

The Scrum Master – Data & Business Intelligence will enable high-performing Agile teams delivering Data Analytics, Power BI, Finance Analytics, AP, AR, Business Operations, Data Engineering, Automation and AI/ML initiatives.

The role will act as an Agile Delivery & Transformation Partner, enabling teams to work effectively, improving delivery predictability, removing impediments, strengthening stakeholder collaboration, and driving continuous improvement.

The role is expected to go beyond facilitating Scrum ceremonies and establish a strong culture of accountability, transparency, disciplined execution and measurable business outcomes.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Scrum & Agile Leadership

• Establish and facilitate effective Scrum practices across assigned teams.
• Facilitate Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review and Retrospective.
• Coach team members, Product Owners and stakeholders on Agile principles and practices.
• Enable teams to become self-managing and cross-functional.
• Protect the team from unnecessary disruption and uncontrolled scope changes.
• Promote transparency, inspection and adaptation throughout the delivery lifecycle.

B. Agile Delivery

• Facilitate effective Sprint execution against agreed Sprint Goals.
• Track progress, impediments, dependencies and delivery risks.
• Identify delivery bottlenecks and facilitate timely resolution.
• Improve delivery predictability and reduce unnecessary carryover.
• Support teams in maintaining a sustainable delivery pace.
• Ensure that completed work meets the agreed Definition of Done.

C. Data & BI Delivery

• Support Agile delivery across:
• Power BI dashboards and reports
• Power BI semantic models
• Data Analytics
• Business Intelligence
• Snowflake / Data Warehouse initiatives
• Finance Analytics
• Accounts Payable (AP)
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Business Operations
• Data reconciliation and quality
• Reporting automation
• Process automation
• AI/ML initiatives
• Data integration
• Enterprise reporting

D. Product Backlog Enablement

• Partner with Product Owners and Business Analysts to maintain an effective Product Backlog.
• Facilitate backlog refinement and story readiness.
• Ensure requirements are sufficiently clear before entering a Sprint.
• Facilitate decomposition of large requirements into manageable Epics, Features and User Stories.
• Ensure acceptance criteria and dependencies are clearly understood.
• Support Product Owners in effective backlog management and stakeholder collaboration.

E. Stakeholder Management

• Partner with US/global stakeholders, Product Owners, Business Analysts and technology teams.
• Facilitate transparent communication of delivery progress, risks and dependencies.
• Facilitate Sprint Reviews and business demonstrations.
• Create a structured escalation mechanism for critical blockers.
• Improve stakeholder confidence through predictable and transparent delivery.
• Translate technical delivery status into meaningful business outcomes.

F. Risk & Dependency Management

• Maintain visibility of delivery risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies.
• Proactively identify cross-functional and cross-team dependencies.
• Facilitate resolution of impediments.
• Establish clear ownership and target dates for critical actions.
• Escalate risks requiring leadership intervention.
• Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring delivery issues.

G. Jira & Agile Governance

• Establish strong Jira governance across Agile teams.
• Ensure timely updates to:
• Epics
• Stories
• Tasks
• Defects
• Sprint status
• Dependencies
• Acceptance criteria
• Monitor aging stories, blocked work and carryover.
• Ensure Jira accurately reflects actual delivery status.
• Develop standardized Agile dashboards and reporting where required.

H. Continuous Improvement

• Facilitate effective retrospectives.
• Convert retrospective discussions into measurable improvement actions.
• Identify systemic bottlenecks across requirements, development, testing and deployment.
• Drive initiatives to improve:
• Cycle time
• Quality
• Predictability
• Productivity
• Collaboration
• Stakeholder experience
• Share Agile best practices across the Data & BI organization.

Important: KPIs should measure team and system effectiveness, not simply the number of Scrum ceremonies conducted.

4. Required Experience

• 3–7 years of experience in Agile/Scrum delivery.
• Proven experience as a Scrum Master supporting technology, Data Analytics or BI teams.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams.
• Strong experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Demonstrated experience managing dependencies, impediments and delivery risks.
• Experience partnering with Product Owners, Business Analysts and technical teams.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum and Kanban principles.

5. Preferred Certifications

6. Technical Exposure

The candidate should be technically conversant, although hands-on development is not mandatory.
