Job Overview:
Providence Classical School is a private school in Rock Hill, SC. We are classical, Christian, and traditional. Providence seeks a dedicated and passionate Part-Time 4th-Grade Teacher to join our educational team for the 2025/2026 school year. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students in classical education and a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment based on a Biblical worldview. Our school meets 4 days a week (Tuesday–Friday) from mid-August to mid-May. The teacher's hours for this role are 11:30 am to 3:45 pm Tuesday-Friday, plus faculty meetings and all-school programs. We are looking for candidates who love students, love learning, love teaching, and love the Lord!
Duties:
- Follow the classical curriculum
- Create a positive, engaging, Christ-centered learning environment
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to parents and guardians
- Collaborate with other teachers and education professionals to support student development
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student development and classroom activities
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom conducive to learning
Requirements & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Experience working with students in an educational setting
- Familiarity with classical education is a plus
- Proven experience with successful classroom management
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, parents, and staff members
