Administrative Support Coordinator I
Financial Services

Salary Range: $2,846 - $5,148/Monthly

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; non-exempt classification.

Essential Functions: Under the general direction, the incumbent independently coordinates clerical and administrative support functions in the financial services unit. The incumbent will develop and maintain ongoing communication with all levels of College administrators and staff, and execute independent decision making on day-to-day administrative office procedures. The incumbent serves as a resource person for the department’s employees in matters related to processes and departmental forms; prepares, processes, and compiles data; maintains logs and reports; handles sensitive information with discretion; sorts and distributes mail; orders and maintains office supplies; drafts memos and correspondence; arranges meetings and events; makes travel and other arrangements; and prepares meeting agendas and minutes.

Required Qualifications & Experience: Equivalent to three years of general office experience, which includes providing ongoing work experience and/or lead responsibilities with notable accountability for the work results of support staff or unit administrative function. The incumbent must have knowledge of standard office procedures and practices; university infrastructure, policies, and procedures; and mastery of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation. The incumbent must have the ability to: understand and operate in the financial services unit; use and learn new office support technology systems and software packages; perform business math, analyze budgetary data, and make accurate projection requiring some inference; handle effectively a broader range of interpersonal contacts, including those at a higher level and those sensitive in nature; multiple projects and priorities, and independently apply a wide variety of policies and procedures where specific guidelines may not exist; effectively write and present reports; and handle interpersonal interactions at all levels. Incumbent must demonstrate the ability and/or interest in working in a multicultural/ multiethnic working environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Desired Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
