The New Hope Historical Society is an non-profit organization that was established to preserve and maintain the histories of the Borough of New Hope. The Society strives to provide access to local history through museum exhibits, educational opportunities and programs throughout the year.

Job description

The New Hope Historical Society is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to fulfill the role of administrative assistant to the Executive Director.

Administrative Assistant Duties

· Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of office.

· Answers phone calls, emails, and handles mailings

· Handles Banking such as preparing deposits, balancing checkbook register and preparing invoices

· Facility management ensuring operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, calling for repairs and gathering bids for required repairs and/or improvements.

· Carries out administrative duties such as filing, copying, binding, scanning, etc.

· Updates membership utilizing management system and reports updates monthly

· Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies and placing orders.

· Exhibits polite and professional communication via phone, email and personal interaction

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
