Full Job Description

Hanna Instruments is looking for a full-time eCommerce Specialist to join our Marketing team in Smithfield, RI. The eCommerce Specialist will be excited to own not just the technical, but also the business aspects of e-commerce and digital marketing. Under the direction of the marketing manager, they will effectively collaborate with business partners to build solutions and drive new strategies to acquire new customers, increase engagement, develop retention and grow the digital business.

Job Responsibilities for eCommerce Specialist:

  • Oversee, manage and drive online sales for the Hanna Instruments brand.
  • Manage the website by planning and implementing updates and changes to include writing or sourcing content, adding graphics, images and other multimedia content.
  • Create website experiences that result in an increase in lead generation and customer acquisition.
  • Design and develop the website using HubSpot, along with creating landing/product pages and templates.
  • Align with sales and marketing on promotions, special events and the marketing calendar.
  • Oversee the website structure and optimization of the UX.
  • Track KPI’s to inform marketing activity also analyzing SEO, Acquisition and Retention activities and optimizing to the key metrics (including traffic, revenue, conversion and engagement).
  • Accountable for BigCommerce web store managed content scheduling, approval, and execution in assigned web categories such as category page features, sub-categories, and doorways.
  • Accountable for web assortment product planning and implementation. This includes relevant web content such as video, buyers’ guides, tech specs and product attributes.
  • Support marketing efforts by building brochure/marketing webpages and incorporating interactive tools (e.g., surveys, estimators, calculators, etc.).
  • Conduct quality assurance of digital assets.

Knowledge and Skills for eCommerce Specialist:

  • Bachelor's Degree required in Marketing or similar.
  • Strong understanding of UI and UX, cross-browser compatibility, general web functionality and relational database standards.
  • Experience working with Google Analytics - setting up campaign tagging, producing reports and generating insights on information and/or eCommerce websites.
  • Experience in web development – including responsive design, front-end development, search engine optimization, and custom applications. HTML experience a plus!
  • Experience using Google Search Console for monitoring SEO performance and spotting any website issues that affect performance. Additionally, optimize websites for SEO from a technical perspective while improving site structure, enhancing metadata and improving overall site health.
  • Hubspot experience.
  • Google Ads Certification.
