Hi! We are looking for excellent professors/lecturers/PhDs/PhD students to tutor one-off classes. Your job title here will be "Professor"
What we do is we offer full-length one-on-one college-level classes online over Skype - Very similar to tutoring. The job we are hiring for is particularly to teach one-off "trial lessons". You will be teaching one-off classes in a subject. Your schedule would be very flexible to what works for you.
We are looking for professors in:
- Economics (particularly Game Theory & Microeconomics)
- Hard Sciences (Chemistry/Physics/Biology/Etc)
- Psychological Sciences (Psychology/Neuroscience)
Training and prep for 3 trial classes - $150
One-off Students Trial Classes - $50 per 90-minute lesson (approx 1-2 per month)
The above is the main part of the job. If a student happens to sign up for a course in your field, you may have an opportunity to teach that full course. The opportunity to teach a full course is not guaranteed, but if you do, the compensation is-
Full Course - $100 per 90-min lesson - students purchase approx 15 lesson packages, approx $1,500 per student.
Please note compensation is fixed-rate rather hourly
Additional Details about the Job and Process
The process looks like this:
Let's say you are teaching Microeconomics.
A student signs up for a trial one-off class.
They receive an optional homework assignment before the class.
They meet you on Skype & join the class and you show them how the courses work in general for our organization.
You teach them a lesson online over Skype. Lessons are 90-minutes long.
Professors will generally have 3 trial class options, which are all college-level classes. You will be given instructions on how to prepare the course and how it should run. Since you will have prepared the lesson plan for the trial class lessons ahead of time, you will not have to do additional preparation for each trial class.
We expect that you will be teaching a 90-minute course approximately once or twice a month most likely. Schedule is flexible - you set up times that work for both you and the student to meet online.
As far as teaching a "full course" with a student (which generally consists of a total of about 25 teaching hours each plus additional payment.
