Under the general supervision of the Principal or designee, and the direct supervision of the Academic Vice Principal, the credentialed Education faculty member is responsible for teaching using a variety of instructional methods and educational delivery services, including the credentialed Education faculty member personally responsible for the distribution and collection of student study material and instruction to inmates in the housing units as needed and upon direction during lockdown/modified programs; delivering audio-visual presentations via electronic means to inmates at a designated area, classroom, or housing unit; and delivering instruction via traditional means on a one-on-one basis, small group, and/or large group presentation. The credentialed Education faculty member is responsible for planning, organizing, and providing individualized instruction, and ordering and providing adult-level materials for instruction based on California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) Competency-Based Curriculum. The credentialed Education faculty member will develop and maintain a positive and professional relationship with all staff and inmates
