The Academic Resource Center at Viterbo University invites applications for a full-time Academic Success Coordinator position.
The Academic Success Coordinator is a full-time, non-exempt, twelve-month hourly position. This position is eligible for full-time benefits. This role is dedicated to fostering student success by organizing tutoring services, testing, TRIO/Student Support Services, and various other supportive activities.
The primary responsibilities of this position are to:
Schedules and administers exams, aptitudes, and tests for students, and arranges delivery back to the corresponding faculty member.
Schedules tutoring, administers surveys, and maintains accurate data on tutoring requirements, availability, requests, paperwork, timesheets and other related information; recruits and coordinates tutors that meet eligibility requirements.
Provides front desk support for staff and presents a welcoming presence for students, employees, and other guests.
Manages hiring, training, and supervising of student workers, as well as processes timesheets.
Supports the digital presence for the ARC and ACD, maintaining the websites for both departments, developing electronic material, and assisting with Mongoose.
Supports scheduling for the ARC and ACD.
Collates data for end-of-semester and annual reporting for multiple sources including, but not limited to, federal grants such as for TRIO/SSS.
Assists in the successful implementation of events and programs including, but not limited to, registration, catering and room reservations, evaluations, and reports.
Sets up the Starfish Early Alert surveys at specific intervals throughout the semester.
Supports leadership and office missions including retention efforts, accommodations, TRIO, and academic resources.
Carries out other assigned duties as time allows. These include, but are not limited to, collecting and analyzing student retention data and survey data from the First Destination Survey.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience.
Strong attention to detail, written and oral communication skills, and exemplary customer service skills.
Self-motivated and deadline oriented. Candidate must be flexible and able to juggle and prioritize several projects from different offices in a dynamic and changing environment.
Social media knowledge and webpage management skills preferred.
Experience and proven competency with computer systems and software, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (required).
Demonstrated ability to manage spreadsheets and databases.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
Ability to integrate feedback and take direction from multiple sources.
Understanding of and sensitivity to diverse student populations and identities.
