Job Summary

Key Cars Auto Group is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Title Clerk/Accounting & Administrative Specialist for our centralized business office in Milford, CT. In this role, you will be a crucial part of our accounting team, responsible for processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring regulatory compliance across our four dealerships. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in administrative or accounting processes and thrive on ensuring every detail is perfect. Work Hours

This is a full-time, in-office position. Core hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. This schedule is required to ensure alignment with team members for training and daily collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and reconcile vehicle sales contracts, ensuring all associated legal and financial documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Handle vehicle title processing, including managing DMV registration paperwork and ensuring timely lien payoffs.
  • Audit vehicle deal paperwork for correctness, including the calculation and remittance of state taxes and fees.
  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing and vendor communication.
  • accounts, including vehicle receivables and titles in transit.
  • Ensure all transactions comply with state, federal, and company policies and regulations.
  • Support the month-end closing process by preparing reports and verifying data.
  • Handle general office duties, including mail processing, supply management, and responding to internal inquiries.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or detail-oriented administrative role; experience within an automotive dealership office is strongly preferred.
  • A solid understanding of transactional processes and the importance of compliance.
  • Familiarity with processing complex contracts or financial paperwork is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy are mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
  • Experience with Dealertrack DMS is a significant plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is a plus.
  • Proactive, self-motivated individual who can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
