Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Education and Training Support Specialist to provide comprehensive administrative and customer support services at the Hanscom AFB Education and Training Center. The ideal candidate will be a central point of contact for military and civilian personnel, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all education and training programs. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Serve as the first point of contact for the Education and Training Center. Respond to all inquiries (walk-in, telephone, e-mail, and mail) in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner. Assist customers with scheduling, program information, and accessing resources.
- Administrative Support: Perform a wide range of administrative duties, including preparing official correspondence, managing suspense tracking systems, and maintaining official records and file plans in accordance with Air Force regulations (AFI 33-322).
- Classroom Management: Manage the scheduling of all classroom facilities using the SharePoint system. Conduct daily inspections to ensure classrooms are clean, properly configured, and equipped for instructors and students.
- Program Support: Provide administrative support for various educational programs, including Civilian Education and Training, and Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) on-site classes.
- Facilities and Supplies: Act as a liaison for facility-related issues, initiating and tracking work orders as needed. Manage office supply inventory and process replenishment requests.
- Reporting: Collect and compile workload data for quarterly reports and review customer satisfaction surveys to identify areas for program improvement.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in an administrative or customer service role, preferably within a government or military environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to speak, read, and understand English fluently.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with Air Force administrative procedures and records management is highly desirable.
- Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
- Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
