The University of St. Thomas, a private university (www.stthom.edu) committed to the liberal arts and to the religious and intellectual tradition of Catholic higher education, is seeking an administrative assistant to provide administrative and clerical support to the PPOHA Grant Project and the Division of Natural Sciences, Engineering & Mathematics. This position reports to the grant Project Director/Division Dean.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as first point of contact for in-person, telephone, and email inquiries.- Schedule meetings, collect data, and provide support to the Program Evaluator and faculty.
- Work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff in support of the project housed in the Division of Natural Sciences, Engineering & Mathematics.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in English, business, or communication, with master's degree preferred.- Five years of experience as an administrative assistant.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft suite of products.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare presentation materials.
- Strong attention to detail and organization, and ability to complete multiple assignments.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, spelling, and grammar.
- Ability to interact with a wide variety of individuals in a professional manner.
- Excellent interpersonal and group skills, mature, and discreet.
- Bilingual preferred.
This is a federally funded, full-time, year-round, benefit eligible professional position. Funded by the U. S. Department of Education OPE PPOHA Program through September 30, 2026.
