About Girls Inc.

Founded in 2018, Girls Inc. of Greater Miami is part of a national network committed to empowering girls to be strong, smart, and bold. Our free after-school programming serves elementary and middle school students across multiple sites, focusing on Life Skills, STEM, literacy, art, and leadership.

Position Overview

Girls Inc. of Greater Miami is seeking a passionate, self-motivated, skilled individual to lead our After-School Debate Club (Bold Voices) for girls in 6th-8th. This program aims to build confidence, critical thinking, leadership and academic success in students through structured programming in Speech and Debate topics. This is a contractor position.

Hours and Schedules
This club meets twice a week after school, from 4:00 to 5:30pm, with the exception of days that students are not in school (holiday breaks, Teacher Planning days, etc.) Occasional weekends are required, including for events and training. Dates will be shared in advance. This position begins in September and concludes in May, with the goal of getting girls to a weekend-long debate tournament in April (dates and details TBD).

  • Communication: Maintain regular communication with site staff, families, and the Program Director regarding program updates, challenges, and successes.
  • Logistics and Preparation: Prepare all materials and resources in advance, including digital tools, visual aids, and other supplies.
