Aggregate Dispatcher
Position Overview
Wage Ranges from $20.00-$25.00 per hour, dependent upon experience.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
- Receive telephone and online orders from customers.
- Dispatch truck fleet according to customer’s demands.
- Ensure timely and accurate material delivery to assigned job site.
- Maintain communication with current and future customers.
- Maintain dispatch facilities and keep in good working order all necessary equipment.
- Provide the Dispatch Manager with requests for new or replacement equipment when necessary.
- Properly follow all company policies and MSHA & OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environmental best practices. Report any problems to the Department Manager, Safety Manager, or Human Resources Manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Knowledge of the aggregate and construction industry is preferred. 2 years’ experience in order taking and aggregate dispatch is preferred.
Work Requirements
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is necessary.

Previous work within the construction/ ready mix industry is preferred.
- Must be 18 years in age or older.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ration, percent, land to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to work well with others in a group or one on one setting.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to type and use keyboards accurately and have a strong working knowledge of Database software.

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, climb, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move from 10 to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
