Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate interpretation of spoken language into American Sign Language for students
- Assist students with hearing impairments in fully accessing classroom instruction and school activities
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support student learning and inclusion
- Maintain professional communication with all stakeholders involved in the student’s education
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that promotes student engagement and success
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an ASL Interpreter, preferably in a school setting
- Active ASL Interpreter certification (e.g., RID, NAD, or relevant state certification)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, educators, and support teams
