The Analytical Coordinator / Lab Technician will support the Product Development (PD) and Quality Control (QC) departments by performing independent analytical testing and contributing to the quality evaluation of Lonza’s ingredient portfolio. This role also assists in technology transfer, competitive product analysis, and the development of innovative testing methodologies, while providing technical support to internal stakeholders and customers
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct independent analytical testing to support development and quality checks of Lonza’s ingredients.
- Facilitate technology transfer and support onboarding of global and local testing laboratories.
- Perform laboratory-based competitive product evaluations and analyses.
- Develop and validate stability testing methods tailored to customer-specific finished products.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve and innovate analytical testing methodologies.
- Monitor and analyze market trends to identify competitive insights and potential risks.
- Collaborate with the commercial team to respond to customer technical inquiries with accurate and timely information.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field (recent graduates eligible).
- Master’s students nearing completion will also be considered.
- Basic knowledge of analytical testing techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC, spectroscopy, or equivalent).
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and data interpretation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a laboratory environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
