Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. This role is essential in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in accounts, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with various financial software systems.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Experience in Open Invoice.
- Vendor Management.
- Ensure timely payment to avoid late fees and maintain vendor relationships.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations in all accounting practices.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks for data entry and financial reporting.
- Assist in payroll management, including processing payroll through system.
- Perform general ledger accounting tasks, including double-entry bookkeeping and analysis of debits & credits.
- Conduct account reconciliations to resolve discrepancies and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Prepare monthly reports for management on accounts payable aging.
- Support month-end/year end closing processes by preparing necessary documentation and reports.

Experience
- Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable roles, with a strong understanding of financial concepts.
- Familiarity with various accounting software systems.
- Knowledge of technical accounting principles, governmental accounting practices, and corporate accounting standards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
- Experience in human resources functions related to payroll management is a plus.
- Proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry tasks.
- Previous experience within the Trucking industry is advantageous. Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
