Location: Vinings Gallery on Canton
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Full time – 5 days / week, evenings and weekend required ($18 -$22)
Reports to: Senior Gallery Director

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Gallery Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our gallery, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our exhibitions, events, and marketing initiatives. Summary/Objective
The Art Gallery Assistant supports and assists the Gallery Director in all gallery functions, activities, promotions, and operations. The Art Gallery Assistant often provides the administrative services of the gallery.
Essential Functions
· Demonstrate company values and create a positive work environment.
· Ensure the gallery maintains a clean, organized presentation at all times and prepared for events.
· Provide the highest level of customer service.
· Support and assist the Gallery Director with day-to-day operations / administrative tasks.
· Handle all aspects of social media
· Work closely with the Gallery Director and webmaster to ensure website is kept current.
· Assist in keeping technical information and current pricing up to date.
· Order retail supplies, manage correspondence, set up / confirm appointments and event schedules, etc.
· Participate and assist the Gallery Director and Sr. Sales Director as needed with special events and exhibitions.
· Keep gallery supplied with promotional brochures, photos, and supportive collateral materials.
· Look to the Gallery Director for assistance, guidance, and training.
· Support the ownership of the gallery.

Required Education and Experience
· High School Degree or GED
· Previous experience working with high end retail luxury categories (i.e. fine art, jewelry, etc.) is preferred.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position will not have supervisory responsibilities.

This job works in a professional gallery environment.

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unattended

0-5 % travel may be expected for this position
