Audio Electronics Assembly Technician
We’re a family-owned business located in Waltham, MA that makes a wide-range of consumer audio electronics gear, including modular synthesizers, guitar pedals, noise boxes etc. We are always looking for motivated individuals interested in learning more about electronics!

We have full-time and part-time positions available, eligible for hourly pay. The work is generally suitable for high school juniors/seniors and college students/recent grads and recent retirees with some experience in electronics and soldering. We offer maximum schedule flexibility to work around your other life and school commitments and the opportunity to learn more about electronics every day you’re here.
Your responsibilities will include a variety of assembly tasks, such as hand-soldering small PCBs, building and testing wire and cable sub-assemblies, assembly/ finishing / testing of synth modules and guitar pedals including wiring, panel assembly and final checks, measuring and testing various electronic parts such as germanium transistors and diodes, managing parts into and out of inventory stock for use in various production tasks, etc. You’ll have the opportunity to learn and use various manufacturing equipment including our de-soldering station/hot gun, wire cutting/stripping machine, wire spooler, parts lead cutting/bending tool, parts lead cutting tool, dip solder equipment, oscilloscopes, frequency counters, digital multi-meters, etc.
Experience with hand soldering is required; hobbyist-level or better soldering skills and experience are a minimum qualification. Knowledge and experience with analog electronic parts (resistors, capacitors, diodes, et al) is required. Interest in audio electronics, electronics DIY, guitar and effects pedals, modular synthesizers is a plus.

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 45 per week
