Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Service Writer to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between customers and the service department, ensuring that all service needs are accurately communicated and addressed. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of the automotive repair processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage customer expectations effectively.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assess their automotive service needs.
- Document customer concerns and vehicle issues accurately for technicians.
- Provide detailed estimates for repairs and services, ensuring transparency with customers.
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of services
- Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any further concerns.
- Stay informed about automotive service trends, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of automotive repair processes, including diagnostics, tire service, and body repair.
- Experience in service writing or auto part industry is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and software is a plus * Our software is very user-friendly, but automotive knowledge is helpful
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks, including filing and basic cleaning

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
