Job Summary
The Bar Manager is responsible for overseeing the full bar program—from drink execution and menu development to team training, inventory, and day-to-day operations. This role calls for a balance of leadership, creativity, and a commitment to consistent standards. You’ll set the tone behind the bar by cultivating a team that’s well-trained, aligned, and confident—ensuring whether it’s a regular’s usual or a new guest’s first visit, you make everyone feel at home.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily bar operations, ensuring consistency in drink quality, service, and cleanliness
- Hire, train, schedule, and support a team of bartenders and barbacks
- Maintain inventory and place orders for liquor, beer, wine, mixers, and bar supplies
- Monitor costs, manage waste, and track beverage performance against target budgets
- Collaborate with the Director of Libations and ownership on seasonal cocktail development and menu updates
- Ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and health/safety standards
- Uphold a warm, inclusive culture behind the bar—modeling professionalism, hospitality, and teamwork
- Maintain all bar equipment and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed
- Be an active player behind the bar during service to lead by example and support the team
- Host or assist with staff tastings, trainings, and community events
Qualifications
- 3+ years bartending experience; 2+ year in a leadership or bar management role preferred
- Strong knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, and cocktail technique
- Comfortable with scheduling, ordering, and bar operations systems (POS, inventory tools)
- Reliable, communicative, and approachable as both a leader and teammate
- Proven ability to guide and inspire a service-focused team
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
- Must be 21+ and have or be willing to obtain all necessary alcohol certifications
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- A love for hospitality and a desire to be part of a fun, kick*** team

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
