We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Cosmetology Instructor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various cosmetology techniques and a commitment to educating the next generation of beauty professionals. practical skills, teaching experience, and a deep understanding of cosmetology practices, ensuring that students receive comprehensive instruction in both theory and hands-on applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that cover a wide range of cosmetology topics including hair coloring, hair styling, nail care, facials, makeup application, body waxing, and more.
- Provide hands-on training in specialized techniques such as trigger point therapy, esthetic laser treatment, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, hair threading, and dermabrasion.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth.
- Assess student performance through practical demonstrations and theoretical examinations.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to ensure curriculum relevance.
- Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness while ensuring all equipment is safe and functional.
- Collaborate with fellow instructors to enhance the educational experience for students.
- Provide guidance on career opportunities within the cosmetology field.
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology instructor license with extensive knowledge in various cosmetology practices.
- Proven teaching experience or background in adult education is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of anatomy as it pertains to aesthetic treatments and bodywork techniques.
- Familiarity with lesson planning and classroom management strategies.
- Proficiency in specialized skills such as deep tissue massage, barbering, aesthetic treatments, hair extensions, facials, makeup application, and more.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students effectively.
