Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting environment, and ensuring that every customer has a positive experience. Your role is vital in creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso drinks with precision and care.
- Operate the register, handle card transactions, and manage customer orders efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment and utensils.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Adhere to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures at all times.
- Engage with customers to promote sales of food items and beverages while providing helpful recommendations.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry or as a Barista is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with credit card handling procedures and experience using Square POS or similar systems is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create rapport with customers quickly.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine passion for coffee and willingness to learn about different brewing methods and beverage preparation techniques.
