Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee, tea and a commitment to providing exceptional service in a fast-paced café environment. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring customer satisfaction while adhering to food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences. Tea knowledge is a plus.
- Operate the TOAST POS system for order processing and cash handling.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including tables, counters, and equipment, in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist in food preparation and serving, ensuring all items meet quality standards.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations for sales.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance overall customer experience.
Experience
- Previous barista experience or background in the food service industry is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with TOAST POS system is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building rapport with customers.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail transactions are essential.

Pay: $16.38 - $25.00 per hour
