Summary
As a Bilingual Medical Assistant, you will be integral to delivering high-quality patient care and administrative support within a clinical setting. Reporting to the healthcare provider, you will utilize your core skills in medical terminology, vital signs assessment, and EHR systems to enhance patient service. Your proficiency in drawing medication, phlebotomy and knowledge of physiology will ensure patient safety and effective care. Additionally, your bilingual abilities will facilitate communication with diverse patient populations, making you a vital asset in promoting a welcoming and efficient healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers in patient examinations and procedures
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Prepare patients for diagnostic tests and procedures, such as X-rays
- Perform basic life support measures in emergency situations
- Provide medical administrative support, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
- Draw patients blood for certain procedures
Requirements:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical clinic. References Requested (does not have to be orthopedics)
- Phlebotomy
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Proficiency in medication administration techniques
- Ability to take x-rays
- Ability to accurately take and record vital signs
- Experience with coding medical procedures and diagnoses is a plus
