About Milltek Corp:
Milltek Corp is the North American division of Milltek Sport, a leading manufacturer of high-performance exhaust systems. With a strong presence in the aftermarket automotive sector, Milltek Corp also represents a growing portfolio of premium performance brands including Forge Motorsport, RaceChip, TRE, Zaero Design, and more. As we continue to expand operations from our Knoxville facility, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our in-house team.
Role Overview:
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing the company’s day-to-day financial transactions and maintaining accurate financial records. This role is critical in ensuring our books are kept up-to-date, reconciled, and in compliance with internal controls and reporting deadlines. You'll work closely with the operations, sales, and executive teams to support business performance with clear financial insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record all financial transactions using accounting software (e.g., Xero or QuickBooks)
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and credit control
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Track inventory purchases and reconcile against inbound freight and vendor bills
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and expense tracking
- Liaise with external accountants and tax professionals as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for audits and compliance
- Process payroll and employee expense reimbursements (if applicable)
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, accounting assistant, or similar role
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or similar)
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
- Good understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred:
- Experience in the automotive or aftermarket parts industry
- Familiarity with inventory management or ERP systems
- Knowledge of U.S. tax rules (sales tax, payroll tax, etc.)
