Job Description
Hourly Rate: $29.80 per hour
(Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm - 11:59pm.
Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am – 4:59am)
- Analyze and repair brood maintenance malfunctions.
- Work from blueprints/schematics to perform maintenance/repair or install equipment.
- Report materials (in writing) replacement parts needed for jobs.
- Direct/instruct subordinate employees still requiring training.
- Determine proper size and specifications and perform electrical maintenance on miscellaneous items such as wire, conduit, fuses, motors, switchers, panels, lighting, relays, control devices, etc.
- Inspect and perform preventative maintenance repairs/corrections on pumps, motors, foggers, heaters, feed systems, vaporizers, injectors, etc.
- Perform installations, connections, adjustments, and calibrations of electrical gauges, meters, etc. troubleshoot computerized equipment controllers such as programmable, temperature, process controllers, etc.
- General cleaning and/or assisting other crews if required, maintaining safety, housekeeping, and sanitation and disease control requirements while performing job duties.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of 4 years of training, on the job and/or formal schooling.
- Must be able to pass a maintenance mechanical level A test.
- Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision and complete work in a timely and efficient manner.
- Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work from a ladder.
- Must have a maintain a California Driver's License and an acceptable DMV record.
- Must be able to take after hour calls, and job assignments as necessary dependent on the live poultry needs.
- Must be able to give direction, lead and train other lower-level mechanics.
- Must be able to maintain a pleasant and harassment free work environment.
