JOB PURPOSE
This role is responsible for carrying out routine maintenance and repair work on facility equipment and building structures, as well as overseeing upkeep of the surrounding grounds.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform minor repairs to building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and painting tasks as needed.
- Implement preventative maintenance schedules to ensure optimal operation of equipment and systems.
- Manage and track inventory of repair tools, parts, and supplies.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, notify the proper personnel, and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Install and repair protective safety guards on machinery and equipment.
- Conduct general maintenance work within the facility and on outdoor grounds.
- Ensure tools are properly maintained, safe, and in good working order.
- Provide regular updates on the status of maintenance projects.
- Follow all established safety practices and comply with SQF regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace, keeping floors clear and swept.
- Offer training, guidance, and direction to team members when needed.
- Carry out additional departmental duties as assigned.
- Ensure full compliance with SQF and ISO standards.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Skilled in operating various equipment, including snow blowers, lawn mowers, and small hand tools.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in general maintenance and repair.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and follow established procedures.
- Capable of lifting and/or moving up to 150 lbs. with appropriate equipment.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in basic math.
- Familiarity with basic computer applications.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of trade school preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00 per hour
