Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, or removing old finishes

• Select appropriate paint or finish based on surface, durability requirements, and aesthetic goals

• Apply paints to various surfaces with brushes and rollers

• Protect surrounding areas from paint splatters

• Apply primers and sealers as needed

• Repair small to medium sized holes/imperfections with patching material and/or drywall

• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition

• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate protective equipment

• Work independently and prioritize projects

• Clean work areas upon completion of projects

Qualifications

• Previous patching and painting experience (2+ years preferred)

• Knowledge of different paint types and surface preparation techniques

• Ability to safely operate painting equipment and tools

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds

• Capable of standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods

• Comfortable working at heights on ladders

Work Environment

• Indoor and outdoor settings, depending on project requirements

• May be exposed to paint fumes, dust, and variable temperatures
