We’re now seeking a Business Development Associate to be the face of our brand in the community — growing our network, prospecting new leads, and developing strategic partnerships that create win-win opportunities for our clients and local businesses.
This role blends sales development, grassroots marketing, and event-driven networking with a creative twist — you’ll help design and execute campaigns that make Continental Pools the name people remember when it’s time to build their dream backyard.
Role Overview
You will be on the front lines of our growth efforts — from shaking hands at networking events to knocking on doors at local businesses.
Your mission: generate qualified leads, build strong referral relationships, and keep our brand visible in all the right places.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Research, identify, and contact potential clients, referral partners, and community influencers.
- Attend and actively participate in networking events, trade shows, and community gatherings.
- Build and maintain a local business directory for ongoing outreach.
2. Community & Brand Presence
- Drop off marketing materials (flyers, brochures, signage) at partner locations and targeted neighborhoods.
- Coordinate and execute grassroots campaigns — from yard sign programs to neighborhood open houses.
- Represent Continental Pool Builders at events as the first point of contact for the public.
3. Partnership Development
- Cultivate relationships with restaurants, entertainment venues, hospitality brands, and local lifestyle businesses for cross-promotions.
- Negotiate perks and packages that we can incorporate into our pool proposals and post-sale programs (e.g., staycations, dining experiences, activity passes).
4. Campaign Creation
- Work with the Sales & Marketing teams to create and launch fun, high-impact campaigns that drive inquiries and community buzz.
- Track campaign performance and make recommendations for improvement.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is naturally outgoing, self-motivated, and strategic — someone who thrives on meeting new people and making things happen.
Must-haves:
- Proven experience in sales, marketing, community engagement, or business development (2+ years preferred).
- Comfortable initiating conversations with strangers, both in-person and online.
- Strong organizational skills to manage follow-ups, schedules, and campaign logistics.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel across the Greater Phoenix area.
Nice-to-haves:
- Existing network in hospitality, real estate, or home improvement.
- Experience running grassroots or guerrilla marketing campaigns.
- Social media savvy with basic content creation skills.
Success in This Role Looks Like:
- New lead sources developed monthly (with measurable ROI).
- Consistent brand visibility in target neighborhoods and local hotspots.
- Active partnerships generating client perks and referrals.
- A pipeline of warm introductions for the Sales Team to close.
