Business Development Representative - Training & Organizational Development
Location: Central & Southern New Jersey (Remote with Local Travel)

Base Salary: $40,000–$50,000
On-Target Earnings (OTE): $60,000–$70,000+

About the Role
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you’ll focus on creating new client opportunities through proactive outreach and relationship-building. You’ll work closely with our senior sales consultants, helping to generate meetings and lay the groundwork for long-term success. This role offers a clear path to becoming a full Consultant within 12–24 months.
Responsibilities
- Make high-volume outbound calls, emails, and LinkedIn touches to prospective clients
- Serve as the initial point of contact for new leads
- Develop relationships with decision-makers across various industries
- Attend networking events and engage with the local business community
- Follow up promptly on inbound leads and inquiries
- Schedule and attend prospect meetings with Senior Consultants
- Maintain accurate activity records in Salesforce CRM
- Build a strong understanding of Dale Carnegie solutions to position value effectively
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1–2 years of professional experience in sales, customer service, or business development
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and CRM proficiency (Salesforce preferred)
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
- Active LinkedIn profile
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
- Based in or willing to commute within Central/Southern New Jersey
Preferred:
- B2B sales experience
- Salesforce or CRM experience
- Competitive background (athletics, goal-driven environments)
- Customer service or client-facing professional experience
