As a Barista, you'll be the face of our café, delivering high-quality beverages and food, exceptional customer service, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for local professionals, entrepreneurs, and guests. You’ll have the opportunity to craft premium coffee, tea, and specialty drinks while contributing to a positive, productive environment where people connect and grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve premium coffee, tea, and other beverages following company recipes and quality standards.
- Engage with customers in a warm, friendly, and professional manner, anticipating their needs and creating an exceptional experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting coffee lounge and café environment, both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH).
- Educate customers on our menu offerings, including coffee blends, food items, and membership benefits.
- Process transactions accurately using the POS system.
- Support inventory management, restocking supplies, and keeping track of daily stock levels.
- Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, adhering to local laws and safety guidelines.
- Support and participate in community events, promotions, and activities hosted within the café and SUCCESS Space.
- Maintain sanitation and health standards, following all operational procedures for food safety, security, and cash handling.
- Assist in training and mentoring new staff and support a positive team environment.
- Promote a welcoming atmosphere and maintain a customer-first attitude at all times.
- Uphold the values of inclusivity, hospitality, and productivity, aligned with the SUCCESS® brand.
Qualifications:
- Previous barista, café, or customer service experience required.
- Passion for coffee, food, and fostering community connections.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Positive attitude, team player, and ability to collaborate effectively with others.
- Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and special events.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Eligible to serve alcohol legally and obtain a server permit if required by local regulations.
- Certification in food handler safety preferred; willingness to obtain certification from local authorities if not already certified.
