JOIN THE TEAM AS A SOAPYSHELL CAR WASH TEAM MEMBER
Do you have a passion for cars and enjoy working around people? Immediate part-time opening at our Glen Burnie location available for individuals who are detail-oriented, self-motivated, team players!
Part-time position available starting at $15 per hour. Availability must include Monday, Wednesday, and Friday closing shifts (2pm - 8pm). Weekend hours may also be offered, depending on availability. Minimum 18 hours per week. Job requires working outdoors and interacting with customers in a positive manner to deliver a great car wash experience!
Soapyshell Carwash is family owned/operated with locations in Glen Burnie, Dundalk, and Perry Hall, Maryland. We enjoy keeping cars clean in our communities!
Primary Responsibilities:
· Facilitate the safe and speedy processing of customer’s vehicles by following the correct procedures for every vehicle through the car wash tunnel
· Smile at customers whenever they are in eye contact and remember to give them the thumbs-up sign when they place their car in neutral
· Maintain the site property including the parking lot/curbs, empty trash cans, keep wash bays cleaned, and anything else necessary to maintain a clean car wash
· Communicate and take care of customers in a professional manner
· Effectively communicate with team members and management of any mechanical issues that need to be addressed
· Keep mechanical shops broom swept and orderly
· Willingness to be hands on and assist site manager in additional maintenance duties on non-car wash days (pressure washing, scrubbing walls/equipment, light maintenance duties, landscaping, etc.)
· Primarily responsible for every other Friday afternoon\evening, Saturday, and Sunday. Please provide availability, there may be opportunity for more hours.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Must be at least 18 years old
· Strong focus on customer service, teamwork, and professionalism
· Strong communication skills, including the ability to professionally communicate
· verbally to customers and management
· Ethical, honest, trustworthy, respectful, compassionate, supportive and patient.
· Ability to work day evenings, weekends, & holidays as needed by the business.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
· MUST be willing to work primarily in an outdoor environment with exposure to hot and cold weather conditions.
· MUST be able to stand/walk for the duration of your shift.
· MUST be able to move and lift up to 50 lbs. Regularly use hands/fingers to operate or access machinery and related car wash and vacuum equipment.
· MUST be able to work in an environment that is often loud.
· MUST be available to work flexible hours as needed.
