Caregiver Position – Orchard Lake
Part-time | 4 hours per day (10am–12pm & 6pm–8pm)
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to support a male client in Orchard Lake. This is a part-time role, ideal for someone who lives nearby and is passionate about providing high-quality care and companionship.
Duties
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Monitor and document vital signs and any changes in condition
- Administer medications per care plan
- Prepare nutritious meals following dietary restrictions/preferences
- Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Assist with mobility needs, including use of Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Engage the client in social activities and community participation
- Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or related conditions
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure effective care strategies
Requirements
- Previous caregiving experience (home health, nursing home, hospice, etc.) preferred
- Knowledge of First Aid, CPR, and HIPAA regulations
- Experience with developmental disabilities or autism is a plus
- Strong observation skills and ability to track health changes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when needed
- Excellent communication and rapport-building skills
- Familiarity with meal preparation, cleaning, and maintaining safe environments
- Compassionate, respectful, and patient-centered approach to care
Schedule & Location
- Orchard Lake – must live nearby
- 4 hours daily: 10am–12pm (morning) and 6pm–8pm (evening)
