Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Carpenter Apprentice / Laborer to join our team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in the construction trade while working alongside skilled carpenters and drywall finishers. The ideal candidate is reliable, hardworking, and willing to learn multiple aspects of the construction process.
Responsibilities:
- Assist carpenters and crew with day-to-day tasks on job sites.
- Perform demolition, site cleanup, and material handling.
- Measure, cut, and assemble wood, metal, and other materials under supervision.
- Assist in drywall hanging, taping, mudding, and sanding.
- Support residential remodels, wall repairs, and new construction builds.
- Load, unload, and stage materials, tools, and equipment.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Learn and develop trade skills to progress toward journeyman-level carpentry.
Qualifications:
- Previous construction or carpentry experience is a plus, but not required.
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and take direction.
- Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools safely.
- Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, bend, climb, and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation to various job sites.
- Commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality work.
