Responsibilities:
- Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Scan items and process payments accurately using a cash register or POS system
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Answer customer inquiries and provide information about products or services
- Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations
- Follow all company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and customer service
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Cashier or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Strong cash handling skills with the ability to count money accurately
- Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient transaction processing
- Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues in a professional manner
- Basic sales knowledge to promote products or services when appropriate
- Familiarity with operating a cash register or POS system
- Good phone etiquette for answering customer inquiries over the phone
- Proficient in English, both verbal and written
- Organizational skills to maintain an orderly checkout area
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Experience in wireless sales is a plus
