Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support while handling transactions efficiently. Your ability to communicate effectively and engage with customers will be key in creating a positive shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Process transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including cash handling and credit card processing.
- Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits, enhancing their shopping experience.
- Upsell products by identifying customer needs and recommending additional items that complement their purchases.
- Maintain stock levels on the sales floor, ensuring products are well-organized and displayed attractively.
- Perform basic math calculations for transactions and inventory management, utilizing retail math skills as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations and address any customer concerns promptly.
- Assist in training new staff members on customer service protocols and POS system usage as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or retail is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Familiarity with POS systems or willingness to learn quickly is essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A proactive attitude towards upselling products and enhancing customer satisfaction is highly valued.
