Job Overview We are seeking reliable and efficient Cashiers, Runners, and Bussers to join our award-winning restaurant's team. The ideal candidates should have experience in the food service industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. Must be 18 or older.
Position ResponsibilitiesCashier
- Operate point-of-sale system to process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Greet guests warmly, take orders, and provide menu information and recommendations
- Handle customer payments, make change, and process refunds when necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized cashier area
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries professionally
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing guest concerns courteously
- Upsell and suggest daily specials or promotions to enhance guest experience
- Support restaurant cleanliness standards as needed
Runner
- Deliver food orders promptly and accurately from kitchen to guest tables
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure order accuracy
- Assist servers with table setup, refilling beverages, and guest requests
- Maintain knowledge of menu items to answer basic guest questions
- Clear and reset tables efficiently between seatings
- Support kitchen staff with food preparation and plating when needed
- Ensure food presentation meets restaurant standards before delivery
Busser
- Clear and clean tables promptly after guests depart
- Reset tables with proper place settings, linens, and centerpieces
- Maintain dining room cleanliness and organization throughout service
- Assist servers with water refills, bread service, and guest needs
- Clean and service restrooms, ensuring they are stocked and maintained to high standards
- Support dishwashing operations and maintain clean dish supplies
- Help maintain overall restaurant appearance and sanitation standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in food service and hospitality principles
- Experience working in a kitchen or restaurant environment preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Knowledge of food handling and safety protocols
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Positive and professional attitude with focus on exceptional guest service
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid and up-to-date Tennessee Alcohol Server Permit (TASP) or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire (copy required upon hiring)
- Reliable transportation to ensure punctual arrival, clean and presentable appearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) a plus
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
