Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves as the producer and editor for informational and promotional communication related to recruitment, admissions, financial aid, and other yield efforts, ensuring relevancy to students
- Produces and orchestrates the design and production of direct marketing materials to be used for student outreach, recruitment and enrollment informational needs.
- Coordinates the review and editing process between Communications Department and operational units (Admissions, Financial Aid, and other departments).
- Participates in the implementation and improvement of direct marketing and communication plans for different populations to increase accept and enrollment yields.
- Produce engaging content for various platforms, including digital advertising, email campaigns, social media, and print materials to effectively communicate with target audiences.
- Collaborates with Admissions/Enrollment staff in developing multimedia campaigns, presentations, brochures, posters, advertisements, emails and other related activities that promote student applications and subsequent enrollment.
- Collaborate with different departments in developing social media campaigns, and market and promote university events
- Assists with conducting a variety of individual and group presentations using traditional approaches and electronic media to potential applicants, applicants, family members, school officials, and the public regarding academic programs of study and other co-curricular offerings.
- Assists with advising prospective students, high school personnel, faculty, and the public regarding admissions criteria, policies, and practices.
- Participates in, plans, implements, and/or assists with evaluating high school visits, campus tours, college fairs and workshops, counselor workshops, employer fairs, military outreach, community outreach events, etc. to promote enrollment in higher education.
- Endeavors to achieve enrollment goals with identified target populations and programs of study.
- Assists with conducting strategic and systematic communication interactions (via standard mail, tele-counseling and social media interactions) to increase yields on applications, accepted students, and enrolled students.
- Assists in coordinating, and the distribution of recruitment materials to high schools and community organizations.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Possession of a baccalaureate degree in business administration, education, social sciences, humanities, or related field and 0 year(s) of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for providing educational services or assistance to students including enrollment services, student affairs administration, operational management, technical support services or related work experience; or equivalent education/training or experience.
2. Working knowledge of principles, practices and techniques in the student enrollment, student affairs administration, student support services, operational management, or technical support services as demonstrated by the broad knowledge of the full range of pertinent standard and evolving concepts, principles and methodologies.
3. Working knowledge and understanding of applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations and theories and systems associated with student enrollment, student affairs administration, student support services, operational management or technical support services.
4. Ability to resolve wide range complex problems through the use of creative reasoning and logic to accurately determine the cause of the problems and the resolution of the problems in an effective, innovative and timely manner.
5. Ability to interpret and present information and ideas clearly and accurately in writing, verbally and by preparation of reports and other materials.
6. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team leaders and members, and individuals.
7. Ability to operate a personal computer and apply word processing software.
8. Ability to create a culture of warmth and belonging where individuals are welcome.
9. Ability to work outside normally scheduled business hours including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as necessitated by program requirements.
Desirable Qualifications:
1. Master's degree in education, business administration, humanities, social sciences, or related field.
2. Equivalent of four years of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for providing educ services or assistance to students including enrollment services, student affairs admin, operational mgt, technical support services or related work experience, including some supervisory experience; or equivalent education/training or experience.
3. Experience with student information systems in higher education.
4. Skilled in team building and developing collaborative partnerships.
