Responsibilities:
- Answer phones and conduct initial intakes for new event inquiries.
- Provide excellent customer service & develop relationships with clients
- Graphic design (using Canva or similar) of menu signage and mood boards
- Generate, edit, publish, and share daily social media content (showcasing our events, food, team, client accolades, and throwbacks).
- Create "featured event profiles” of past events for our website using WIX.
- Type and edit menus & party proposals
- Receive & process weekly catering orders
- Assist sales team with designing & stylizing food and beverage displays
- Set-up spaces for in-office tastings/meetings.
- Accompany sales team on off-premise site visits and meetings.
- General office management (creating party book forms, printing & scanning recipes, organizing craft room, ordering & organizing office supplies, filing completed event files).
- This job requires a flexible schedule and ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends, early mornings, and evenings.
Skills & Qualifications
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office suite, Canva, WIX).
- Excellent writing, editing (photo, text), presentation and design skills.
- Great eye for detail.
- Positive attitude, helpful, willing to go the extra mile.
- Organized with strong critical thinking, multitasking, and time-management skills.
- Good communicator, customer oriented, friendly and outgoing.
- Energetic and able to work in a physically demanding fast-paced high-stress environment.
- Knowledge of Cricut is desirable.
- Knowledge of Total Party Planner ("TPP") Catering Software is a plus; Ability to adapt quickly with training if not familiar with TPP.
- Bachelor’s degree from 4-year accredited university.
- Driver’s license and access to personal vehicle.
- Previous experience in event planning or other related field is desirable.
Schedule & Compensation
This is an entry-level position designed for recent college graduates or current seniors (graduating in May 2025). Candidates who are required to complete an internship for academic credit are encouraged to apply. This position is in-person, paid, and hourly, with an expected work schedule of 40+ hours per week (Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), with additional hours as needed to meet the responsibilities of the role. In addition to your M-F work schedule, the expectation is that you will work an average of (2 to 6) events per month as an assistant event producer. The internship is expected to last between three (3) and nine (9) months. While this is a temporary internship, the goal is for you to transition into a full-time, permanent role based on performance and business needs. Candidates must complete a minimum six (6) months in the internship before being considered for a full-time, salaried position with benefits.

Ability to: lift & carry up to 30 lbs. over a short distance (occasionally); adjust or move objections up to 20 lbs. in all directions (frequently); perform sedentary work that primarily involves sitting for extended periods (daily); perform repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers (frequently); reach overhead (occasionally); reach below waist (frequently); push or pull an amount equal to your own bodyweight (occasionally); walk distances over an 8-hour period averaging 6,000 steps (frequently), 10,000 steps (occasionally), 16,000 steps (rarely); be exposed to loud (event band/DJ) noisy environments for up to 6 hours (occasionally); ascend or descend ladders (occasionally); ascend or descend stairs frequently over an 8 hour period (occasionally); work outdoors for up to 8 hours performing various combinations of the above listed essential physical requirements which may be performed to setting up/servicing an event in various Atlanta weather conditions including high humidity and temperatures ranging from 32 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit (rarely).
