Responsibilities
- Sales & Client Management:
- Respond promptly and professionally to all catering inquiries, converting leads into confirmed bookings.
- Conduct in-depth consultations with prospective and existing clients to understand their vision, requirements, and budget for events of all sizes (corporate, social, weddings, etc.).
- Develop compelling and customized proposals, menus, and detailed event plans that align with The Flavor Lab's standards.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure profitability while meeting client expectations.
- Maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing clients, fostering repeat business and positive referrals.
- Event Planning & Execution Management:
- Manage the end-to-end event planning process, meticulously coordinating all logistical details from signed contract through post-event follow-up.
- Collaborate closely with The Flavor Lab's culinary team, operations, and any reporting Event Coordinators to ensure seamless execution of all event components.
- Create detailed event orders (BEOs) and communicate all client needs and event specifications clearly and accurately to relevant departments.
- Oversee event timelines, deliveries, setup, and teardown, often being present on-site for key events to ensure smooth operations and client satisfaction.
- Proactively identify and resolve any potential issues or changes to ensure flawless event delivery.
- Operational & System Management:
- Utilize and manage The Flavor Lab's Toast POS system (Catering Module experience highly preferred) for accurate order entry, invoicing, and reporting.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage supplies related to catering events to ensure efficient operations.
- Process invoices and handle billing inquiries accurately and promptly.
- Maintain organized client accounts and comprehensive sales records.
Qualifications
- Minimum of sales and event management roles.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing the full catering event lifecycle from initial inquiry to execution.
- Proficiency with Toast POS system, with strong experience in the Catering Module a significant plus. Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with an impeccable eye for detail.
