If you answered “yes,” we’d love to meet you! Rise Up Academy is seeking an experienced, dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Education Teacher to join our mission-driven program, where equity, inclusion, and excellence in early learning guide all we do.
The teaching staff at RUA supports the vision, mission and core values established by Executive Leadership, and is a direct report to the Rise Up Academy Program Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Reports to program Director and Executive Director.
- The teacher in the assigned classroom will directly supervise this position.
- Help maintain positive classroom environment.
- Assist teachers in preparation of materials for classroom instruction.
- Assist in the supervision of children during class time.
- Work with students on academic projects as directed.
- Provide supervision of students during staff lunches and break times.
- Supervise play time with children.
- Assist in distributing and supervising snack times.
- May assist in cleaning classrooms, or other areas assigned by teacher.
- Maintain daily attendance records and up-to-date incident/behavior reports.
- Comply with all school policies and procedures as outlined in the staff handbook.
- Comply with Washington Administrative Code (WAC) requirements.
Required Skills & Attributes

- Strong understanding of state regulations and best practices in early childhood education.

Qualifications
- Formal training and experience in Early Childhood Education.
- CPR, First Aid, and HIV/AIDS training (current certification required).
- STARS training and a negative TB test.
- Background check clearance required.
- Familiarity with a range of early learning curricula and evidence-based behavior management strategies.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation based on Position, Education and Experience. Bi-weekly Pay.
