We are looking for a qualified "Infant" (age 6 weeks to 8 month) classroom teacher.
Hours for this position are 8:15am-5:15pm with an hour lunch break.
Responsibilities
- Be comfortable using Creative Curriculum
- Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to help children learn through play
- Observe each child to help them improve their social skills and build self-esteem
- Encourage children to interact with each other, build friendships, socialize appropriately and resolve conflicts
- Track children’s progress and maintain open communication with parents.
- Collaborate with co-teachers
- Provide 15 minute breaks for teachers , lunch breaks and providing support as needed
Skills
- Understanding of the principles of child development
- Positive attitude
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Ability to act as mediator between children
- Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable
- CDA, Associates, or Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
