Job Summary:
As an In-Home Sales Consultant, you will be the face of Barco’s Painting, meeting with homeowners to assess their painting needs, provide expert recommendations, and close sales. This role requires strong communication skills, a consultative approach, and a passion for helping customers enhance their homes. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, goal-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-home consultations to evaluate customers’ painting needs.
- Provide professional recommendations on color selection, finishes, and services.
- Prepare and present detailed project estimates and proposals in person.
- Educate homeowners on the value and benefits of our painting services.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to generate referrals and repeat business.
- Follow up on leads promptly and maintain a high closing rate.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure seamless execution of sold projects.
- Meet and exceed sales targets while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Willingness to canvass/prospect to keep a busy lead pipeline
- Participate in networking events
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- New Sales Closed: Achieve a minimum of 10 contracts per month.
- Average Revenue per Contract: Target an average of $6,500 in revenue per project.
- Customer Satisfaction Rating: Maintain ratings above 4.8 stars.
- Lead Conversion Rate: Convert at least 45% of generated leads into contracts.
Qualifications:
- Previous sales experience (in-home sales experience preferred). You demonstrate a solid understanding of sales, sale objections and a drive to close. Usually this is accompanied with a specific sales method like Sandler, GAP other others and a track record to show.
- Ability or track record of training your selling system to others
- Background in residential painting, home improvement, or related fields is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical details in a clear and persuasive manner.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.
- Proficient in using CRM software and digital tools for estimates and follow-ups.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed.
