About the Role
We’re seeking a Computational Sensing & Simulation Engineer to develop advanced simulation infrastructure and enhance multimodal data modeling techniques that support next-generation AI systems. This role sits at the intersection of high-performance computing, sensor modeling, and AI research. You’ll work closely with research and engineering teams to prototype algorithms, solve complex data fusion challenges, and shape how simulated and real-world data are combined to improve AI performance.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain high-performance, physics-based simulation frameworks for diverse sensing modalities (e.g., vision, depth, radar).
Apply computational optimization methods to refine sensing system models and improve AI-driven data interpretation.
Collaborate with research teams to prototype, test, and iterate algorithms for sensor data processing and validation.
Explore and evaluate new approaches for sensor fusion and multimodal data representation in simulation environments.
Ideal Candidate
Strong expertise in high-performance computing and experience with C/C++, Python (PyTorch), CUDA, GPU programming, and parallel computing techniques.
Solid foundational knowledge in physics domains such as optics, electromagnetics, or solid-state physics.
Experience modeling or simulating complex sensing systems (e.g., imaging, depth, radar).
Proven ability to work across software, research, and product teams to drive technical solutions.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with large-scale transformer-based or generative AI models.
Background in metrology or validation of high-precision sensing or simulation systems.
Familiarity with analyzing large datasets for AI applications and working with cloud-based simulation infrastructure.
