Position Description
Prepare and apply concrete for fabricating, covering, and reinforcing structures to specified textures according to blueprints. These duties are to be performed in a safe and timely manner with the highest quality possible.
Job Responsibilities
- Convey, pour, spread, float, screed, finish, and cure concrete to specified finish.
- Use hand tools such as trowels, screeds and vibrators.
- May build or reinforce forms or bracing prior to pours.
- May remove forms.
- Repair defects in concrete such as honeycombed appearance.
- May spray cement mortar or concrete to cover exposed earth, masonry, and steel surfaces and forcing grout into drilled holes or spaces between foundations.
- Mix concrete.
- Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules.
- May be assigned other duties.
Job Qualifications
- Completed Construction course at a technical or trade school or a minimum of 3 years of experience working in the field.
- Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly with supervisor/co-workers and understand direction from supervisor.
- Must be able to utilize basic math and be able to read a tape measure or ruler and calculator to determine concrete yardage.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb, bend, twist, stand and reach repetitively.
- Work in hot/cold/damp/cramped environments
- 40 or more hours per week with possible weekend work
- Background check and drug screen based on job location/requirements

- 1 each Rubbing Sponge
- 1 each Cement Finishing Trowel
