KCE is seeking a qualified Concrete Foreman to join the team. The work is primarily in Centre County and nearby areas. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work as required by scheduling commitments. Overview
The Concrete Foreman supervises crews on public and private projects, manages daily tasks, and reads blueprints. Must effectively teach crew members, operate a screed to grade concrete, enforce company policies, and prioritizes safety at all times.
Duties
- Demonstrates a commitment to mentoring others to enhance crew performance.
- Possesses the ability to interpret plans and effectively communicate project requirements to team members.
- Supervises work and addresses employee concerns.
- Actively participates in the implementation of all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety throughout all operations.
- Proficient in smoothing, finishing newly placed concrete, applying surface treatments, and restoring concrete surfaces.
- Capable of reading, understanding, and executing project plans and associated documentation.
- Required to undertake tasks involving heavy lifting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and reaching as necessary.
- Excels in team environments and communicates effectively with crew members.
- Adaptable and open to performing additional construction duties as needed based on project demands.
Experience
- Previous experience in concrete labor or related construction roles is required.
